Bodywork Sessions

Bodywork sessions help you go deeper in your healing process. Discover our various forms of bodywork, and how they can help.

Bodywork Sessions

Trained in several different styles, our practitioners offer bodywork techniques that help address a wide range of physical, emotional and mental health issues.

Zheng Gu Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage)

Zheng Gu Tui Na is a style of Chinese medical massage. By working on soft tissue, Zheng Gu Tui Na can improve alignment, mobility, and overall function of the bones, joints, sinews, muscles, and connective tissue. These techniques are simultaneously diagnostic and therapeutic.

Patients remain fully dressed and no oils are used. Many patients find Zheng Gu Tui Na relaxing, but the focus is on addressing specific medical issues rather than achieving the relaxation of a “spa style” massage.

Depending on the needs of the patient, treatment is done with the patient lying on a table or seated in a chair. The torso and lower body are generally treated on a table. The upper body is generally treated with the patient seated in a chair. Much like a visit to a physical therapist, simple exercises and lifestyle advice are often part of the treatment plan.

What can Zheng Gu Tui Na treat?

A wide range of conditions can be addressed with Zheng Gu Tui Na including:

  • Carpal tunnel
  • Back pain
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Rotator cuff problems
  • Sports injuries
  • Knee pain
  • And other musculoskeletal pain and injury

What is the cost?

All bodywork sessions are $150 and are 60 minutes in length.

  • First 50 minutes of session time includes intake and bodywork
  • Last 10 minutes of the hour is used for resting after appointment and getting dressed.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a therapy developed from Osteopathic medicine and specifically works on the skeletal system, the deep layers of connective tissue, the fluid body, and the nervous system. Craniosacral helps with conditions such as headaches, TMJ disorders and jaw pain by allowing the release of tension within the deep layers of connective tissue in the head, as well as optimizing the position of the cranial bones. There are also more systemic benefits of Craniosacral which include relaxing and recalibrating the nervous system, which has therapeutic implications ranging from stress relief, improved digestion and emotional balancing to spiritual development. It creates a state of deep relaxation, and is a great way to deepen the effects of acupuncture treatment.

What does Craniosacral Therapy treat?

Special attention is paid to the cranial bones, the spine and the sacrum, their articulations, and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. The practitioner uses precise hand holds on these structures to make subtle adjustments in position, movement, and flow of fluids and energy.

What is the cost?

All bodywork sessions are $150 and are 60 minutes in length.

  • First 50 minutes of session time includes intake and bodywork
  • Last 10 minutes of the hour is used for resting and getting dressed.

Taming anxiety, depression, migraines and tension headaches with acupuncture and craniosacral therapy

Andrei's treatments have helped curb my issues with migraines / tension headaches, digestion, anxiety, and depression. I say Andrei is magical because sometimes he also does incredible craniosacral work that was especially helpful with my headaches in the beginning. Andrei is always receptive and attentive with a gentle bedside manner that is calming. I highly recommend his care for those seeking acupuncture or craniosacral work.

Medical Qigong and Energy Healing

Similar to Reiki in some ways, Medical Qigong is the energy medicine branch of Chinese Medicine. The term comes from the concept of ‘qi’ or vital energy and ‘gong’ meaning dedicated practice and cultivation. It is rooted in ancient Daoist and Buddhist meditation and healing practices.

During treatments, the practitioner will first diagnose all the layers of the patient’s body. This includes the physical body, the energy body (chakras, meridians, and organ energies), and emotional and mental patterns. The practitioner identifies the location of energetic imbalances and uses techniques to rebalance and restore the proper flow of vital energy.

What does Medical Qigong and Energy Healing treat?

Medical Qigong and Energy Healing is a great way to deepen the experience of acupuncture, boost vitality and immunity, enhance emotional intelligence, and increase creativity and intuition. It can also be used as an “activation” to your highest potential. Think about this as a way to clear out the internal “closet” of your subconsious mind and allow deeper insights to emerge from your own intuitive guidance.

What is the cost?

All bodywork sessions are $150 and are 60 minutes in length.

  • First 50 minutes of session time includes intake and bodywork
  • Last 10 minutes of the hour is used for resting after appointment and getting dressed.

Bodywork Can Be An Important Part Of Your Healing Process

Because of our society’s bias towards medications and highly technical treatments, people often don’t realize how powerful and effective bodywork can be. Sometimes bodywork can create progress that no other treatments are able to accomplish. Whether used to address a key health issue, or to maintain inner balance and relaxation, bodywork sessions can be an important part of your healing process.
